Balloon dilators are a type of soft catheter with an inflatable “balloon” at its tip. These devices are used during a catheterization procedure in order to expand a narrow opening or passage within our body. Before the procedure, these balloon dilators are placed in the position and inflated to enlarge the surgical area and are then deflated to remove them after use.
