Sensor Guidewire

Quick Contact

The Sensor PTFE-Nitinol Guidewire is a hybrid urological guidewire developed to maximize the benefit of a hydrophilic, soft tip with a rigid shaft that has sufficient friction to maintain the wire position. It combines the access benefits of a nitinol hydrophilic wire with the ease of handling of a PTFE wire. The Sensor Guidewire is also available in a Dual-Flex configuration designed to ease the passage of a flexible ureteroscope.

Features, Advantages and Benefits

The following features make the Sensor guidewire versatile and recommended guidewire for various urological procedures.

Feature Advantages Benefits
Distinct Construction
The Sensor Guidewire is constructed of a kink-resistant nitinol core with a 5cm hydrophilic coated floppy tip that is designed to facilitate access through a tortuous anatomy. Its smooth polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coating provides a low coefficient of friction to facilitate easy advancement of a flexible ureteroscope.
Due to its distinct feature, the Sensor guidewire can facilitate passage beyond obstructions and negotiate tortuous anatomy with minimal risk of bleeding and pain.
Hybrid design
The exclusive hybrid design combines the benefits of nitinol hydrophilic wire and a PTFE wire. It reduces the number of wires used during a procedure as well as the time spent manipulating and exchanging multiple wires.
The hybrid design offers shorter treatment times, low re-treatment rates, and efficient performance.
Radiopaque tip
Sensor guidewire has tungsten - filled radiopaque tip
Tungsten-filled radiopaque tip enhances fluoroscopic visualization
Dual-Flex Advantage
The Sensor Guidewire features a 10 cm flexible proximal end designed to ease the passage of a flexible ureteroscope.
Facilitates easy backloading of endoscope and minimizes the risk of expensive scope damage
